analogue color photo series with Carolin Seiberlich
The Dance We Danced started from conversations with dancer and friend Carolin Seiberlich, with whom I spent the first weeks of the first Covid19-lockdown in Weimar, Germany. The pandemic seemed to force us back into our bodies, into isolation, into stagnation.
As a reaction, we tried to find care in movement and exchange on the edges of Weimar where we met in spring, summer and fall 2020. We danced, Carolin with me and myself with the camera, extending our bodies in time and space, carrying each other through stillness, in togetherness.
A selction of the series was shown at Kunst statt Kommerz, Oldenburg 11.09. – 21.09.2020.
